  • Anime Dubbing Workout (In Studio)

    Practice your anime dubbing skills at this workout at Bang Zoom Studios! Students will choose anime scenes from our library via google classroom and will each get 1-2 turns the dubbing at the mic. The workout will culminate in a playback of all of the participant's recorded scenes, with a little feedback from the instructor. Remember this is a WORKOUT - where you come as the actor, and the director simply directs. There will be no instruction, and just a little feedback from the instructor at the end of the workout. Limited to 10 Participants

    This course is designed to simulate a real world remote anime dubbing session from your home studio, and gain insight into bang zoom's particular remote ADR for anime process. Some Cool things about the Workshop: -You will be working with a Bang Zoom Engineer and ADR Director Tony Oliver throughout the course -Class with begin with individual audio tests from your home studio to Bang Zoom over Source Nexus. -Tony will discuss best practices and tips when dubbing from home. -You will work with scripts and sessions from anime that Bang Zoom has worked on Students will have the opportunity to dub 1-2 Anime Scenes of their choosing! ONLINE DUBBING Technical Requirements: - Must have experience ( Working or in a Class) recording using Source Connect Now* , along with Zoom for dubbing to picture. - Join the Google Classroom for this workout and complete all homework prior to class - High speed WIRED (ethernet) connection to the internet - Recording space capable to dub remotely using a combination of Zoom & Source Connect Now* - All of the following in your recording space: 1. Microphone & way to control gain (interface or built in the mic.) 2. Large Screen or 2 screens (a laptop will NOT be enough.) 3. Camera, Keyboard, mouse/trackpad *Source Connect Now - the free version that you join as a guest in a chrome browser window.
