Instructor (Mastery Program)
David Sobolov is one of the few, if not the only remaining working professional character voice actor who studied directly with Sanford Meisner in New York. David feels Meisner’s concept that “acting is living truthfully under given imaginary circumstances” applies perfectly to character work in animation and games. What could be more imaginary than the worlds those scripts create? And once you take on a role in such an imaginary story, the audience will only stay engaged if they believe you live truthfully as the weird and wonderful people and creatures you’ll find there in a way they can believe! David is the voice of Gorilla Grodd on the live-action CW Network dramas Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash, Drax on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy animated series, Lobo in the animated DC Universe, Upgrade and Vin Ethanol on the Cartoon Network series Ben 10, and Shockwave in Transformers Prime. He played The Arbiter in Halo Wars, Dr. Fate in Injustice 2, Duros in Star Wars Battlefront I and II, and Azmodan in Heroes of the Storm and Diablo III for Blizzard.
