Adventures in Voice Acting Scholarship Contest Rules and Guidelines Policies Adventures in Voice Acting, Holiday Matsuri, and Fine-Tooned-U are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all aspiring voice actors. We reserve the right to remove any contestant who fails to adhere to our policies, rules, and guidelines, or behaves inappropriately or unprofessionally towards other contestants or staff members. Terms & Conditions 1. Eligibility The Scholarship Contest is open to all paid Holiday Matsuri attendees who have registered for the contest at https://www.adventuresinvoiceacting.com/holmat2023 Contestants of all ages are eligible to participate in the First Round Auditions, but must be 18 and over to advance to the finals Winners must be present at the Finals Panel to compete for prizes All Prizes are non-transferable By registering for the contest, participants agree to be added to the Adventures in Voice Acting and Fine-Tooned-U email lists for future communications and updates. By entering the contest you consent to be photographed/filmed and to be featured in any promotional materials (including, but not limited to social media posts) deemed necessary by Adventures in Voice Acting, Fine-Tooned-U, and/or Anime Central 2. Rules & Guidelines Contestants will participate in the following contest panels: First Round Auditions Panel (Panel A or B) Voice Acting Scholarship Finals Panel Contest Process During the First Round Audition Panels, contestants do not need to prepare a monologue. They will be provided with Audition sides with different characters to choose from and will perform that script in front of the judges. Contestants who advance to the finals round of the competition will be performing real anime scenes from anime that have been dubbed by Bang Zoom Entertainment. How Contestants Advance Contestants can advance in the following ways: -The top contestants based on judges' scores from the First Round Audition Panels A and B -Audience Choice winners, one from each First Round Audition Panel. First Round Audition Panels, and Finals Round Competition - To audition, registered contestants check in to First Round Audition Panels by scanning the QR codes posted at the entrance and in the panel room. - Contestants will be called up to audition in the order of check in - We will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible during the time alotted - Checking in to the Audition doesn't guarantee a spot in the Audition panel - Contestants may not audition more than once in the first round. - Finalists will be announced at the beginning of the contest finals panel. 3. Prizes In order to win any of the following prizes, contestants must be present at the Final Round of the competition: All Finalists will recieve an Adventures in Voice Acting Community 1 year Membership 2nd Place: a $350 Scholarship at Adventures in Voice Acting 1st place: $850 Scholarship at Adventures in Voice Acting All participants who check into the finals panel will be entered into a raffle drawing to win an Adventures in Voice Acting Community 6 Month Membership.
