We're thrilled to be returning to Chicago May 17 -19 for Anime Central this year! We've got so many exciting things planned for those planning to attend. From panels dedicated to all things voice acting to our annual Voice Acting Scholarship Contest, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy!

Voice Acting Scholarship Contest 2024
Interested in flexing your voice acting skills for the chance to win some fantastic AiVA Scholarships? Here's everything you need to know about this year's Voice Acting Contest!
Pre-Registration ends May 1, 2024.
Pre-Registration
If you're interested in participating in our contest, you can pre-register now to secure your spot in line for one of the days of the con! Here is some important information to know:

Participants must only register for one of the two contest panels (Friday or Saturday) in order to allow more people to participate.

The first 30 pre-registrants for each first round panel are guaranteed a spot to perform in front of the judges. Adventures in Voice Acting will post on their social media when all guaranteed pre-registered spots are filled.

Those who sign up after this limit are not guaranteed a time slot, but we will try our best to accomodate everyone who would like to participate!

Competitors must be present for the finals on the final day of the convention (Sunday). Finalists will be announced at the beginning of the finals panel.
Late Registration
Didn't have a chance to pre-register? No worries! Visit the Adventures in Voice Acting kiosk on the Exhibitors Hall to sign-up for that's days first round contest panel (Friday or Saturday). Those who register late are not guaranteed a spot for that day's contest, but we will try our best to accomodate everyone who would like to participate! ​Competitors must be present for the finals on the final day of the convention (Sunday). Finalists will be announced at the beginning of the finals panel.
The Contest
Here comes the fun part! Getting to read exciting scripts and act your hearts out with us! Here's some important information to know about the contest:​

​Participants who pre-registered will be asked to check-in online the day of their selected first round contest panel. That way we can know who is present and ready!

Competitors will receive a QR code (that can be saved to their phone's wallet or printed as a PDF) that will be scanned upon entering the panel room. We ask that participants get their codes ready while lining up.​

This year's scholarship prizes include:

All Finalists: A One-Year Adventures in Voice Acting Community Membership & 6 - Online Peer Workouts (total value of $180)

Runner-Up: Intro to Voice Acting & Voice Acting Technique Online Workshops (total value of $570)

Winner: Intro to Voice Acting, Voice Acting Technique, Anime ADR from Home Online Workshops & one Career Consult with Dorah Fine (total value of $1,000)
